On behalf of the ASIALEX 2019 Organizing Committee, I am delighted to welcome you to the ASIALEX conference in İstanbul, from 19 to 21 June 2019.

The 13th International Conference of the Asian Association for Lexicography (ASIALEX 2019) is hosted by İstanbul University. The theme of the conference is Lexicography: Past, Present, Future. We are happy to have four distinguished keynote speakers: Amy Chi from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Danie Prinsloo from University of Pretoria, Gilles-Maurice de Schryver from Ghent University and Hayati Develi from İstanbul University.

Besides attending the conference, we invite you to explore the beautiful historical sites in İstanbul and savor a copious culture dating back to ancient times. We hope that you will experience a great academic atmosphere and a joyful stay in İstanbul, the connection between the East and the West.
