Abstract:

This treatise discusses ornamentation techniques, embellishment symbols and their execution and interpretation in renaissance and baroque period.
A few numbers of sources written in Turkish that give information about ornaments do not mention of ornament signs and techniques in early music, only containing explanations of few rigid symbols in 20th century. This situation has been an important factor on choosing this subject.
