Biography

Çiğdem İstel is a faculty member at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at Anadolu University School for the Handicapped. She has 29 years of experience in educating hearing impaired and deaf university students. She conducts Building Construction, Reinforced Concrete Practice Project, Construction and Building Elements and Building Terminology courses, which support the development of professional knowledge and drawing skills of the students of the Building Drafting Program at the School. In addition, she continues to serve as the assistant Erasmus coordinator at the School where the research was carried out. The author communicates with her students using the total communication method; She completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in the Department of Architecture and her doctorate in Anadolu University, Department of Special Education, Program in Education of the Hearing Impaired.
