Prof. Dr. EVRİM GENÇ KUMTEPE

Evrim Genç Kumtepe is a full professor in the Faculty of Open Education at Anadolu University, Turkey. Dr. Genç Kumtepe holds a BSc. degree in Agricultural Engineering from Ankara University and received her masters and doctorate degrees in the Program of Science Education at Florida State University (FSU), USA. She holds also a minor degree from the Program of Measurement and Statistics at FSU. Her primary research interests focus on science and technology in distance education, virtual labs, and interaction and communication issues in distance education. She presently holds the positions of Head of Continuing Department, Co-Coordinator of the Online Non-Thesis Program for Measurement and Data Analytics at Anadolu University, and Program Coordinator for the Agricultural Technology Associate Degree Program in Open Education System. Dr. Genç Kumtepe has published many research papers in journals, edited book chapters and conference proceedings. She has been involved in a number of local and international research projects over the years.
