Assoc. Prof. HAKAN GÖKHAN GÜNDOĞDU

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Gökhan Gündoğdu serves as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Anadolu University. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Hitit University in 2011 and completed his Master's degree in Public Administration at Selçuk University in 2014. During his doctoral studies, he received funding from TÜBİTAK's International Doctoral Research Fellowship Program in 2018. Within the scope of this prestigious support, he conducted advanced academic research as an international visiting researcher at KU Leuven's Public Governance Institute in Belgium in 2019. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Public Administration (Department of Politics and Social Sciences) from the Institute of Social Sciences at Marmara University in 2020. Conducting interdisciplinary research in critical areas such as public administration, governance, sustainability, administrative coordination, local government studies, corporate governance, environment and climate change, civil society, migration, and strategic management, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gündoğdu has contributed significantly to the global literature. His contributions include articles published in high-impact international journals indexed in SCI-Expanded, SSCI, and Scopus, such as Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Soft Computing, alongside numerous national peer-reviewed articles, international book chapters, edited volumes, and conference proceedings. Recognized for his scholarly productivity and high-quality research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gündoğdu has been honored with the Academic Achievement Award and consecutive Article Performance Awards by Anadolu University, demonstrating strong citation metrics and h-index standing across international databases. Combining his academic expertise with scholarly and administrative responsibilities, he serves as a reviewer for leading international journals indexed in SSCI and ESCI, including Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Multinational Business Review, and Discover Sustainability, as well as various national journals. Additionally, he holds editorial and scientific board positions in international journals. He also actively contributes to mentoring emerging researchers by serving as a principal investigator and advisor in numerous national and international research projects supported by TÜBİTAK and Scientific Research Projects (BAP) funds.
