Dr. Ilker Kayabas is an Assistant Professor at Anadolu University’s Open Education Faculty, Department of Open and Distance Education. He previously served as the Vice Manager at the Learning Technologies Research and Development Unit from 2010 to 2015. Since 2020, Dr. Kayabas has held the position of Head of Technical Operations at the Anadolu University Continuing Education Center.
Throughout his career with nearly 20 years of experience, he has designed and developed comprehensive web applications, learning management systems (LMS), interactive e-course software, and e-portfolio applications for prominent organizations, including the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Health, Ford Otosan, and the Internet Association of Turkey. Additionally, he founded the "My Work Passport" (İş Pasaportum) initiative in 2017 and the UTEx e-learning initiative in 2019.
His research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence and education, focusing on e-learning experience design, learning analytics, gamification, UX/UI design, and full-stack development. Currently, his work is dedicated to AI-powered learning technologies.
