Abstract

Water-distilled essential oils from the herbal parts of Nepeta cadmea, endemic in Turkey, were analysed by GC/MS. Eighty four components were characterized representing 94% of the total components detected in the oils of two specimens collected from different localities with 4aα,7α,7aα-nepetalactone (44.51% and 74.96%) as the major constituent. © 1998, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
