The purpose of this study is to assess certain factors acting on the success of elementary 7th grade students in science and technology subtests of Level Assessment Exam (SBS) 2010 as well as their levels of success regression. The survey prepared by the researcher within the scope of the study, the scales of, attitude towards science and technology courses and perception of success in science and technology courses have been applied with 7th grade students studying at 13 schools in the city center of Kutahya. For the first sub-problem, the frequency and percentage distribution of the variables have been observed, which are considered to regress the success in science and technology. For the second sub-problem, how much the variables, including the time allocated to study science and technology lessons, participation in an educational activity regarding science and technology out of school, the attitude towards the course and the perception of success in the course, regress the success in science and technology have been assessed. According to the obtained results, it has been seen that the most significant regressor of the success in science and technology is the time allocated for study, while it has been concluded that the success levels of the students, who are involved in an educational activity out of school with respect to the science and technology, tend to be decreased. For the third sub-problem, the levels of regression of science and technology success have been observed, of the parent education level and monthly income of the family, which constitute the survey together. According to the results obtained from the multiple regression analysis, it has been seen that the success in science and technology increases as the education level of the mothers increases.
