Bu çalışmada 17. ve 18. yüzyıl müziğinde, Fransız stilinde kullanılmış süsleme teknikleri, terminoloji, süsleme işaretleri ve bu işaretlerin uygulanma ve yorumlanma anlayışı ele alınmıştır. Fransız süslemeleri Barok Dönemde tüm Avrupa’da kabul görmüş ve yaygınlaşmış, diğer ulusal ekolleri etkilemiş, değiştirmiştir. Döneme ait orijinal süsleme tabloları asli kaynaklar olarak kabul edilmiş ve kronolojik sırayla derlenmiştir. Tablolar süslemelerin açılımlarını sistematik bir şekilde gösterdikleri gibi yorumcuların Barok eserler üzerinde kullanabilecekleri bir kütüphane olma özelliği de taşırlar.
This study discusses ornamentation techniques, terminology, embellishment symbols and their execution and interpretation in French style, in the music of 17th and 18th century. French ornaments gained recognition and become widespread throughout Europe in the Baroque Era, and they influenced, and changed the other national schools. The original ornament tables of the period acknowledged as fundamental sources and were compiled by chronological order. Tables manifests the explication of ornaments in a systematic way, they also have the feature of being libraries that interpreters can use them on Baroque works.
