Abstract

Water distilled essential oil from leaves of Ribes nigrum. L. (Grossulariaceae) was analyzed by CC and GC/MS. The major constituents were found to be P-caryophyllene (12.9%), hexadecanoic acid (10.7%), alpha-huumulene (10.2%) and caryophyllene oxide (9.6%).
