Abstract

The essential oils obtained by water distillation from aerial parts of Achillea biebersteinii collected from two locations in Turkey were examined by GC and GC/MS. The oil of Ankara origin was rich in piperitone (49.90%). The oil of Erzurum origin contained 1, 8-cineole (29.93%) and camphor (17.35%) as major constituents. © 1995 Allured Publishing Corp.
