Abstract

The water-distilled essential oil from crushed fruits of Chaerophyllum aksekiense were analysed by GC-MS. Sixty-seven components, representing 82.0% of the oil, were characterized. The major components were heptacosane (10.1%), humulene epoxide II (7.8%), (E)-beta -farnesene (6.2%), caryophyllene oxide (6.0%), alpha -humulene (5.5%), terpinolene (5.5%), nonacosane (5.3%) and terpinen-4-ol (4.6%).
