Purpose - The authors focus on the strategic question in this article. It is aimed to draw a conceptual framework in line with the articles in the thematic issue to understand the rise of digital nomadism in tourism and to examine how it can be integrated into the tourism industry. Design/methodology/approach - The article is based on a literature review and examination of existing research on the subject, with the aim of answering the research question and contributing to the development of future strategic thoughts. Findings - Digital nomadism is changing traditional tourism models and offering new opportunities to industry stakeholders. In this context, digital nomadism is an important opportunity for countries that want to increase their tourism income. Originality/value - This article explores the potential contributions of digital nomadism to the tourism industry and offers suggestions for developing strategic thinking in the industry.
