Abstract

Decentralized robust controller design problem for large-scale distributed-time-delay systems which consist of subsystems interconnected through another dynamic subsystem is considered. First, overlapping decompositions and expansions are used to obtain local design models for each subsystem. Then, a frequency-dependent robustness bound, which accounts for both the neglected interactions between the subsystems and any uncertainties in the system model, is derived. Finally, a local controller design approach, which uses the derived bound, is proposed. An example is also presented to illustrate the proposed design approach.
