This study aims to reveal the religious and spiritual meaning of the lokma tradition, its role in solidarity and belonging within the community, its cultural transmission and the transformations it has undergone with modernization. As part of the research, an important Şücaeddin Veli Postnişini (a religious leader) and Ana Bacı (wife) were interviewed, who play significant roles in the Alevi-Bektashi society were interviewed. As a result of the study, it was seen that the lokma tradition continues to have an important place in the Alevi-Bektashi society in Eskişehir with its religious, social and cultural dimensions from the past to the present. Today, the lokma tradition strengthens the sense of solidarity and belonging among the community members and maintains its importance as a ritual of offering, prayer and gratitude in the context of belief. However, urbanization and modernization processes have led to certain changes in the tradition; some transformations have been observed due to the requirements of today, especially in stages such as the presentation, preparation and distribution of lokma.
