Özet
Environmentally-friendly practices are dominating the discipline of analytical chemistry with sustainable methods of analysis being developed. White Analytical Chemistry (WAC) focuses on precision, reproducibility and accuracy and has reduced environmental effects of the traditional processes. Some of the major measures are minimizing chemical waste, the use of green solvents and miniaturized instruments. Automation and integration are also major to simplify the processes, make it more efficient and able to analyze data better. The use of AI and machine learning is also optimisation in decision making, predictive model and pattern recognition of complex datasets. Lab-on-chip and microfluidics systems foster high throughput, cost efficient analysis with little sample and reagent consumption and are useful in medical diagnostics and environmental monitoring. In addition, solvent-free methods are under development in order to remove the use of toxic chemicals, which minimize environmental footprints. Resource optimization as part of the shift towards sustainability ensures that the ecological and economic viability in the long run are not compromised. There are still some challenges related to the sample preparation, sensitivity of the analysis and scalability, but the ongoing development of green technologies and smart analytical systems is opening the door to a more sustainable future in analytical chemistry.
