Abstract

Water-distilled essential oil from the aerial parts of Origanum haussknechtii, an endemic species in Turkey, was analyzed by GC/MS. One hundred components were characterized representing 91.5% of the total components detected. p-Cymene (15.56%) and borneol (14.24%) were the major constituents of the oil which was obtained in 0.24% yield. © 1998, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
