The herbal parts of Perovskia scrophulariifolia (Labiatae) collected from Yakkabag in Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan in August 1993 yielded 0.54% oil by water distillation. The oil was analysed by GC/MS.71 components were characterized representing 95% of the oil with 1,8-cineole (11%), caryophyllene oxide (10%), camphor (9%), humulene epoxide II (7.9%), bornyl acetate (7.8%) and p-cymene (5.7%) as major constituents.
