The Ephemeroptera (Insecta) lymnofauna of Bartin Stream (Bartin) Basin

Abstract

A total of 664 nymphs were collected between July 1999 and July 2001 in order to determine the Ephemeroptera (Insecta) lymnofauna of the Bartin Stream Basin (Bartin). In this study, distribution of 22 species of 14 genera belonging to 9 families (Baetis buceratus, B. digitatus, B. fuscatus, B. lutheri, B. muticus, B. rhodani, B. vernus, Centroptilum luteolum, C. pennulatum, Cloeon dipterum, Procloeon bifidum, Caenis macrura, Ephemerella ignita, Ephemera vulgata, Ecdyonurus dispar, E. insignis, Isonychia ignota, Choroterpes picteti, Habrophlebia lauta, Habroleptoides modesta, Oligoneuriella rhenana, Potamanthus luteus) was given. All of 22 species determined in the study area are reported for the first time from Bartin Stream Basin.
