Abstract

Thirteen new (3,4-diaryl-3H-thiazol-2-ylidene) pyrimidin-2-yl amine derivatives were synthesized by reacting 1-aryl-3-pyrimidin-2-yl-thiourea derivatives and phenacyl bromides in absolute ethanol. The solid that separated was filtered and recrystallized from ethanol. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analyses and H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, and EI-MS spectral data.
