Abstract

Water-distilled essential oil from the aerial parts of Seseli tortuosum (Apiaceae) was analysed by GC and GC-MS; 96 compounds were characterized, representing 95.4% of the oil. The main constituents were found to be alpha-pinene (35.9%), sabinene (8.8%), (E)-sesquilavandulol (8.4%) and beta-pinene (7.0%). Copyright (C) 2003 John Wiley Sons, Ltd.
