Abstract

Water distilled essential oil from the dried herbal parts of Thymus longicaulis C. Presl. var. subisophyllus (Borbas) Jalas was examined by GC/MS and some physico-chemical characteristics were also determined. Fifty-seven components representing 95.81% of die oil were characterized. The major components were found to be thymol (21.73%), borneol (15.84%) and p-cymene (15.39%). © 1992 Allured Publishing Corp.
