Abstract

In this study, 3-aryl-6-substituted thiazolopyrimidin-2(3H)-thione derivatives 4 and 6 have been synthesized by reacting thiazolopyrimidines 2 with omega-bromoacetophenone 3 and 2-chloro-N-(2-thiazolyl)acetamides 5. The structure elucidation of the obtained compounds was performed by IR, H-1-NMR, MASS spectroscopy, and elemental analyses. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of the compounds were investigated, and it was reported that the compounds showed remarkable antimicrobial activities.
