In language teaching and language acquisition research is increasingly observed that corpora are used to generate insights for the classroom. After almost three generations of textbook, the question arises how the vocabulary of today's textbooks might have evolved in terms of frequency of incidence. The era of education has undergone profound change and significant progress also in German teacher education. Technology highly assists this occurring transformation in education. Our increasingly desire to use digital advances in foreign language teaching made us create "Lexika" a digital dictionary which will collect information about word usage and word frequency from German Teacher Candidates and for the foreign language teaching Staff.
