This study examines the use of cultural heritage in Turkish animation films and its continuity through the Japanese 'Mono No Aware' philosophy in anime. The aim is to reveal how cultural values are conveyed in animation narratives, both in content and form, and to present an alternative narrative approach for preserving and transmitting Turkish cultural heritage across generations. Within this scope, it has been investigated how the concept of "Mono No Aware" is used in Japanese anime for the transmission of cultural heritage and how it presents an alternative narrative development for contemporary animation films. Subsequently, the application of the "Mono No Aware" concept inform and content in Isao Takahata's film "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya" has been analyzed in detail through a scanning model. Based on the data obtained, "Beyterek" animation movie was produced in which the elements of Turkish culture on the brink of oblivion were used as a source by taking into account the alternative storytelling method created by the "Mono No Aware" philosophy for anime. Turkish cultural heritage is rich enough to contribute to the development of Turkish animation style in terms of originality, creativity, and universality. For this reason, it is thought that using cultural heritage when creating animation scenarios will allow alternative narratives in terms of originality.
