Abstract

Water-distilled essential oil of Thymbra sintenisii subsp. sintenisii, a Turkish endemic species, was analyzed by GC/MS. Twenty-eight compounds were characterized representing 99–92% of the oil containing carvacrol (43–31%), thymol (32.51%) and γ-terpinene (9–40%) as major constituents. © 1997, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
