Water-distilled essential oil from the aerial parts of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britton, a recently recorded species in Turkey, was analysed by GC and GC-MS; 15 compounds were characterized, representing 88.1% of the oil, with perillaketone (35.6%) and isoegomaketone (35.1%) as the main constituents.
