Özet

This study examines the effect of services sector exports (in terms of subsectors) on economic growth in the Turkish economy and compares it with the effects of goods exports. Analyses were conducted using ARDL Models from 1992 to 2020. Analysis findings show that exports of transportation, travel and financial services positively affect economic growth in the short term. Construction services exports do not affect economic growth in the short term. Long-term results show that services subsector exports have no significant effect on economic growth. Goods exports positively affect economic growth in both the short and long term. We can only evaluate the Export-led Growth Hypothesis in the Turkish economy based on exports of goods in the long term
