Abstract

Porcelain bodies containing kaolin, quartz and different kinds of sodium-feldspar and potassium-feldspar were investigated to study the mechanical and electrical properties of electrical porcelain fired at 1380 degrees C. Sodium-feldspar containing body achieves vitrification 20 degrees C earlier than potash feldspar containing body. Potash feldspar containing body has higher mechanical and electrical strengths than sodium feldspar containing body.
