This article includes the results of a descriptive study in which the extent of the Turkish researchers' interest Ioward instructional communications was investigated. The data were gathered from the arctides included in periodicals in communication sciences, theses and dissertations indexed by the Higher Education Council, and the boks published in Turkey. The study has shown that experts, academicians and researchers in communication sciences were not realy interested in instructional communications. So, the last part of le article deals with why instructional communication should be studied by communication specialist.
