Özet

Local media and local administrations in Turkey have important roles during the democratisation period of the country, In this article firstly, it was dealt with how local media and local administrations appeared simultaneousty in Turkey as a result of Regulation and Reform movements in 19th century and how they developed during the history. Later on, it was evaluated that why local media and local administrations were not able to spread the democraey over country during the historical period. Finally, it was stressed that a local media which solved its problems will contribute to local democracy. Hence, it will have important contributions democratic system to slily and strength all over the country.
