Özet
The clarinet instrument has been used by different cultures and societies in many areas of music from past to present. The clarinet, which is classified as woodwind instruments, has become an instrument that has always preserved its place over the years. Thanks to the importance of the technical and acoustic structure of the instrument, it has been accepted not only as a soloist instrument, but also in bands, orchestras and chamber music. The instrument, which has undergone both structural and different mechanism changes from the time it was first released to the present, has undergone significant changes and moved to a different position thanks to the instrument makers Denner and Muller. Theobald Boehm and Eugene Albert, who were the important instrument makers and performers of the period in the 1800s, made the instrument technically easier for the performers with the various improvements they made to the clarinet. In the article, detailed information about two different clarinet systems called Albert and Boehm systems is presented. While the G clarinet, which is the Albert system, is commonly used in Turkish music, the B-flat clarinet, which is the Boehm system, is preferred in most European countries. It is aimed to present a detailed examination in the article about which criteria and choices the reason for this preference depends on, and what should be considered when making a choice. In addition, the development of the clarinets, starting from their history to the present, has been examined, and information has been presented by making comparisons. In the research, it has been determined that there are very few sources about the Albert and Boehm system, structures that include a detailed examination.
