Özet

Teucrium leucophyllum Montbret & Aucher ex Bentham (Lamiaceae) is an endemic plant species showing narrow distribution in Erzincan region. According to the IUCN criteria, this species wasreported as EX (Extinct) for many years. However, this plant was rediscovered in its original localities during the field studies in the region. In this study, physical and chemical characteristics of soils where T. leucophyllum distributed were determined. The soil type of this species distributed areas were loamy, between 5-7.5YR in color, very dry, slightly salty, slightly alkaline and high in organic matter. In addition, correlation between micro and macro element contents of plant and soil samples were studied. Obtained results will provide valuable data for ex-situ conservation studies for rare and narrow endemic species of T. leucophyllum.
