Considering the decorative techniques in glass art, especially if transparent glass is not sufficiently effective as a simple glass form, and if it is desired to achieve a different effect, it can be enriched from the surface in a new way. Every glass manufacturer uses a variety of materials to obtain the appropriate glass for his artwork. The additive material also varies according to requirements. Contemporary developments in glass décor methods are achieved through the use of new and different materials. In the past, glass artists searched for more appropriate ways of production in the glass technique and preferred the easiest and nearest products first. Recently, studies on the use of new components such as fly ashes, metal rods, metal salts and organic materials in glass decoration have gained momentum in recent years to produce glasses with different designs and surface effects. In this study, as a new method of glass decoration, bone powders were used in hot glass blowing to obtain glass products with original decor effect. First, the chemical composition of bone powders was determined by XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis. Then, TG/DTA analysis was performed and the thermal behavior of the powders was determined. Bone particles with different sizes were gathered around the glass surface on hot blown glasses. According to the results innovative and original decor effects were obtained in hot glasses.
