Water-distilled essential oils from the crushed fruits of Heracleum platytaenium, an endemic species collected from two localities in Turkey were analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Ten compounds representing 94.36% and 93.92% of the oils were identified, octyl acetate being the major component (72.29% and 76.69%) in both oils. © 1995 Allured Publishing Corp.
