Abstract
Water-distilled oils of Achillea falcata L. collected from two different localities in Turkey were analysed by GC-MS. Fifty-two and 60 components were identified, representing 95% and 90%, respectively, of the total oil. 1,8-Cineole (14-24%), camphor (4-24%), alpha-pinene (2-12%) were characterized as the main constituents. The enantionteric distribution of 1S(-) camphor was measured as 93.3% and 99.6% in the two oils, respectively. Copyright (C) 2003 John Wiley Sons, Ltd.
