Abstract

The volatile constituents of the seeds of Centaurea huber-morathii Wagenitz (Asteraceae), obtained by microdistillation, were analysed by GC and GC-MS. Eighty-five constituents were identified in the oil, with octanol (17.8%), hexadecanoic acid (8.0%), p-cymene (4.9%) and caryophyllene oxide (3.3%) as the major components.
