The increase in demand for translation in higher education institutions has brought various terminology problems. In this regard, this study aims to identify the problems encountered in the translation of higher education terms. In accordance with this aim, in this study, the research project entitled "Creating a Trilingual (Turkish-English-German) Term Base to Ensure Standardization in the Institutional Translations of Anadolu University" carried out at Anadolu University will be presented and the initial results of the project will be discussed. Within this scope, the texts that need to be translated into German at the institution were examined to identify the frequently used terms. The problems encountered in the translation of the Turkish terms were identified and evaluated. In the following stage, German equivalents to these terms were proposed. Within this period, it was noticed that it is necessary and important for employers, translators, technical staff and decision makers to work in cooperation. Consequently, by using the computer-assisted translation software suite SDL Trados, a server-based collaboration platform, where employers, translators and decision makers can work together, was installed. In this platform, we aim to create an online termbase which is integrated with the software suite.
