Özet

The existence of circus art in Turkey shows up, particular stunts duly applied free of each other, most specifically as a part of Ottoman Festives performed on various occasions in Ottoman Empire time. Nevertheless, a few centuries long circus talents of those vanished throgh the time without showing any progress. First, factors in formation of Turkish drama art and spectacle tradition accordingly need to be mentioned in order to state the reasons why circus did not develop in Turkey although circus skills seen in Renneisance Festives in Europe developed to be a field of art In the same period. Next, the reasons for circus in Turkey not being developed will be analyzed and thus the importance of this deficiency will be expressed through the explanation of the point where circus arts came in an international dimension with its relation to theater.
