Abstract

Water-distilled essential oil from the herbal parts of Origanum husnucan-baserii, a new endemic species of Turkey, was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Seventy five components were characterized in the oil representing 97.2% of the total components detected with borneol (20.23%), α-terpineol (11.46%) and trans-sabinene hydrate (10.97%) as major constituents. © 1998, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
