Giving importance to and developing preschool education contributes significantly to the progress of societies. Research shows that receiving a quality education at an early age positively affects children's social and cognitive development. One of the goals of preschool education is to raise self-confident and creative children through a quality education. Considering all these, music lessons in preschool education should be structured correctly and should be taught in an educational and instructive way for children. This study aims to present a different perspective by evaluating the place and importance of music education in the preschool period. This study was prepared by review method and the existing literature was analyzed systematically. The findings obtained from the literature review, examination, and research conducted in this article reveal that music education in the preschool period contributes to the all-round development of children. Music education supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, and motor skills while at the same time motivating an effective learning process.
