The problem of designing linear time-invariant stabilizing time-delay compensators for a class of linear time-invariant retarded time-delay systems is considered. To solve this problem, an approach, based on the continuous pole placement algorithm, is proposed. A design example is also presented to demonstrate the proposed approach.
