Being positioned as a junction field of other disciplines such as art, technology and science; animation is nourished by various sources. Animation is engaged to technology in terms of motions on screen, developing 3-D computer technologies, implementing visual effects, and other numerous practices apart from its close relations with the fields of art. It has different connections with other disciplines under different contexts. On one hand, it interrelates with fields like history, language and literature, folklore, mythology and philosophy at the scenario stage. On the other hand, it collaborates fields like psychology, anthropology, anatomy and acting for character designs, and geography, architecture and interior architecture for space design. Animation is also affiliated with fields including but not limited to child development, music, photography and, the last but not the least, cinema. Especially its relations with cinema is established on a common narrative and historical development base.
