Özet

This research examined the relationship between the technology leadership competencies of school administrators and the innovative behaviors of teachers. The study involved 373 teachers from public primary, secondary, and high schools under the Tuzla District Directorate of National Education in Istanbul during the second semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. Using a correlational survey model, a quantitative research design, the study employed simple random sampling to select participants. To measure the technology leadership competencies of school administrators, researchers used the “Technology Leadership of School Principals “scale. To assess the innovative behavior levels of teachers, they used the “Innovative Behavior Scale”. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 22, applying t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, and regression analyses. The results revealed a high level of positive correlation between the technology leadership competencies of educational administrators and the innovative behavior levels of teachers. It is suggested that school principals’ technology leadership levels should be tested again by taking international standards into consideration. In order to create an innovation process in schools, practices that support new ideas can be put forward and related activities can be organized.
