Abstract

Using the exact isomorphism between multifluid plasma theory and classical electromagnetism, we apply the theorems and techniques of spacetime algebra to the multifluid equations of a plasma in order to present a new formulation in a compact and elegant way. A set of Maxwell equations for a plasma is combined into a single equation similar to their counterparts in electromagnetism, linear gravitation and fluid mechanics. The presented formulation also proposes a useful method for the generalization of the plasma wave equation.
