Linking perceived social support, career adaptability, and innovative behavior: A two-wave study

Özet
Based on the career construction model of adaptation,this study examined the relationships of career adaptabil-ity with measures of adaptivity, and adaptation results.Specifically, we investigated the link among perceivedsocial support, career adaptability, and innovative behav-ior in the Turkish context. Data were collected from 171employees. Results indicated that perceived social sup-port positively affected career adaptability, as expected.Contrary to expected, there was no significant relation-ship between innovative behavior and career adaptabilityand social support. In addition, career adaptability did notact as a mediator in the association of social support andinnovative behavior. Implications and directions for futureresearch were discussed.
