Flextensional cymbal pizocomposites have a number of applications as actuators, sensors, and transducers. In this study, the effect of the design parameters and materials on actuator performance were evaluated by Finite Element Analysis. There are trade-offs among displacement, force and speed which are important for actuator applications.
