One steam-distilled and two water-distilled essential oils of Salvia cryptantha, an endemic species, were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. 1, 8-Cineole (15.69–37.12%), camphor (5.95–13.04%), α-pinene (1.00–11.93%) and camphene (0.89–7.71%) were found to be the major components in the oils. © 1995 Allured Publishing Corp.
