Özet

Through an attempt to lessen the negative environmental impact of classical extraction techniques (CETs) as well as workers' safety while also improving analytics selectivity and sensitivity, green miniaturized extraction technologies have become the favorite of many people over the last decade as more environmentally friendly and sustainable alternatives to traditional sample preparation processes. Implementing upgraded measures will be suitable to solve the two main critical constraints of traditional methods regarding resource utilization and energy consumption level to a large extent. They also comply with the basic principles of the modern green chemistry. The aim of the chapter is to explore and show how several cutting-edge methods developed and implemented recently might be effective for green development. The chapter will be focused on improving core elements in the fields of science, food and environment such as analysis, practical aspects and good applications. Efforts to intensify and ease the rate of the solvent extraction and less amount of solvent used are shown. These strategies involve sorbent-based processes as well as solvent based processes such as fabric-phase sorbent extraction and solid-phase microextraction on the one side and then QuEChERS (micro quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe), ultrasound-assisted extraction, microwave-assisted extraction.
