Glass is a material that can be shaped under high temperatures and is widely used in artistic production processes due to its physical and chemical properties. Among glass-forming techniques, flameworking and hot glass processing are the most commonly applied methods. This study focuses on the technical problems encountered during flameworking processes and presents solutions to these problems. The main issues arise due to the glass composition, the equipment used, and the lack of experience of the practitioner. Thermal expansion coefficient, compatibility, and annealing temperature are key factors for a successful shaping process. The purpose of this research is to identify potential challenges in flameworking and provide scientifically based suggestions for overcoming these problems.
